Preparing a trip to US

Now I’m in the preparation stage for my trip to US.
As I usually do it, I utilize all the tools in the internet I know about, starting with Google Maps and down to accommodation | flight | car reservation sites.

Because I used to host people from couchsurfing.org I also trying to find couch surfing opportunities for myself.
This is rather disappointing so far, because for my trip to Bratislava (Slovakia), which was about a year ago, I wasn’t able to find a couch to surf for me and my cousin and the story repeats itself for US trip, however it’s only me, who is looking for a couch now.

This brings me to the thoughts as why am I hosting people at all if I don’t get the same hospitality in return?

However I went off track a bit.

My personal experience over many years and in different countries shows that Europcar usually provides the most affordable quotes and prices, with a full transparency and the support, at least for me, also was exceptional and brilliant all the times I called them.

When I book a car I always try to find the closest car rental station to the point of my departure.

Having a car saves you spending money for luggage storage.

If you calculate your forecast spendings, it totally makes sense considering having a rental car, providing you’re going to change locations and you have a valid driving license.

Because it proven to be very difficult to find a couch to surf, my itinerary so far will look the following way:

On the 8th June I’ll arrive in the US.

As soon as I get my luggage, how long will it take will define my further course of action, because majority of car rental stations in Manhattan are opened up to 20:45 and then they close.
If I manage to get to a car rental station before they close I eventually will end up renting and having a car for several days.
Once I have a car I’ll make myself onto the way towards Boston, Massachusetts, which should take by car about 5 hours.

Should I be late and the car rental station will be already closed I’ll make myself on the way to Penn Station where I will buy a ticket for the train to Boston.
It’ll be a night train and in the morning I shall reach Boston.

What I hope to see and do in Boston is, seeing the film shooting locations from the movie with Leonardo diCaprio I like a lot – “The Departed”.

The film is one of the reasons why I’ve chosen to visit the city at all. Apart from that the city has a rich history and I’m hoping to experience it first hand, being in the scene and on the spot(s).

Boston Tea Party is quite a term for me as well.

So far I wasn’t successful in finding a couch to surf in Boston either. Should I, closer to the date, still don’t have a couch, I’ll look for a hostel where I’ll spend one night and the next day I’ll make myself on the way to Stamford, where the actual cause of me | my coming to US will take place.

I’m coming for the Gold Mastermind from Fabienne and Derek Fredrickson, which as you may already guessed it, will take place in Stamford, Connecticut.

I will write more detailed about the event either on this site or that site’s blog

You can subscribe yourself to our newsletters on either or each site and you’ll be informed about it and about the latest news.

Being informed is a choice and it’s totally up to you whether you choose to be informed or not.

Make you choices carefully, they may and most certainly will change your life… Especially our sites and our newsletter.

Inwardly you’ll know what the right course of action is and you intuitively will know, actually you already know what to do.

Once the Gold Mastermind event will be over I’ll make myself on the way towards NYC where I’m planning to spend the whole 5 days discovering the city (it’s going to be my first time to | in NYC) and hopefully shooting video and writing lots of posts, letters, newsletters, making e-zines and v-zines…
Let’s see.

I’m planning quite a lot… Let’s see how much of the planned I actually will end up doing and performing.
I’ll keep you posted or not. We’ll see.

As for now, I’m already really excited about my soon to be journey and I have lots of hopes and plans for it.
